Review of 2025 in Galaxis

4 min readJan 18, 2026

2025 was filled with blood, sweat, and tears, but the team persevered with determination — much like Matt Damon in The Martian — and yes with a hope of such outcome as in the movie after so much suffering. Reflecting on the June roadmap, several outcomes changed: the Bybit delisting was a major setback, securing the platform licensing and servicing agreement with Str8fire was the top highlight, and the main lesson was to work quietly and communicate carefully before delivery.

Looking at the market conditions, overall tokens and NFTs performed poorly. On the supply side, there is an abundance of tokens (side note: many business models rely on generating new tokens, I doubt it is sustaianable). Demand, meanwhile, has not met optimistic expectations, further impacted by reputation challenges. In my oppinion, adoption appears to have hit a wall, while many participants from the previous cycle left the trenches or experience financial strain.

Regarding the adoption issue, here is an example of a response we frequently encounter from prospects: “Due to the current sentiment in the gaming community regarding Web3 integrations, we are unable to evaluate your proposal.” Do not get me wrong, I do not wish to attribute all challenges solely to market conditions; we have made mistakes but at least gained valuable lessons. Nonetheless, I am proud of many accomplishments this year and remain optimistic about the future:

The Ether Cards Community Staking: With product and business development taking longer than expected, and with H1 felt like Don Quixote tilting at windmills, we launched new staking programs related to Ether Cards community. These long-term initiatives have also demonstrated our engagement technology, mobilizing over 600 million $Galaxis tokens (and we burnt 300 million tokens above that).

Tokenomics — the most challenging phase is behind us: At the end of January, the monthly engine output was halved to 30 million $Galaxis tokens (with 14 million currently locked by users). In April, vesting for KOLs ended (previously releasing 4.3 million tokens per month), and in December, the Private round vesting concluded (which had been releasing 36.8 million tokens each month). The remaining vesting includes the seed round until May 2026 (20.2 million tokens per month) and marketing/advisory allocations until July 2026 (22.6 million monthly). Team and development vesting has been kept to a minimum this year and will remained halted until mid-2026 to optimise future token supply.

Building continued: In 2025, we launched 33 new developments (!) and made 31 business-related announcements. This article is our 56th media feature (podcast or article) supporting the Galaxis mission. Our future priority is strengthening business development to gain more traction, a target where we are lagging behind.

A product aligned with current market needs and capable of gaining traction: Alongside several new engagement features, there was a comprehensive overhaul of the back-end. The result is finally a product that matches the team’s vision: users can create a community, have their own server deployed — which can be fully customized — and can also personalize the front-end on the platform. Your unstoppable community, your economy, not dependent on third parties, and equipped with a powerful set of engagement tools. These enhancements enabled white-label solutions, such as fully cloning the platform in December. Notably, feedback from recent pitches has been positive, indicating a promising outlook for next year.

New Simple Product Lane — Promising Revenue Stream: Alongside our main platform, we’ve developed a white-label solution designed for quick and cost-effective integration into clients’ existing systems (with only a minimal setup fee and later commissions). This tool acts as a membership and loyalty card system, complete with a stand-alone settlement infrastructure, and can also include authentication or certification features. End users and partners interact only with the card interface and engagement tracking or rewards — they never see or interact with the underlying blockchain technology. Our first implementation reference was Matchawards; SevenFriday and two other clients are set to launch in January. We’re ramping up sales efforts to engage innovative prospects among thousands of potential clients where membership and loyalty programs are relevant.

The clones — platform infrastructure customization: A major highlight of this year was cloning the platform, allowing customization at both the community and platform levels. There are currently three key use cases:

  • Galaxis XPAd — the DeSci space platform: Introduced in June with objectives set for Q3; however, ongoing platform development and business negotiations influenced the trajectory of XPad’s progress. Following the successful cloning, the current plan, in collaboration with our major partner, is to release the beta version of the platform by February at the latest.
  • Health science: The plan, introduced in June, promised additional information in Q3. Despite missing this, our team proceeded with development and negotiations quietly. Now, the minimum viable product is complete and we are negotiating the business launch. This product is a blockchain-based card — your digital health ID — where AI analyzes your health profile using your medical records, along with an integrated engagement toolkit, which you own and medical records are tracked on the blockchain.
  • Str8fire: Str8fire is adopting Galaxis as its official community and staking infrastructure, which will support long-term engagement around its future IPs. This presents a significant opportunity, especially as major names are expected to join in 2026.

Regarding smart certificates, following the successful completion of the EU pilot on an educational blockchain solution, there was a period of silence. However, substantial efforts have continued behind the scenes to further develop and expand this initiative on a broader scale.

In conclusion, as stated in our previous roadmap article, we are confident that the future will be both decentralized and tokenized. Although the path forward may be challenging, lasting success will come to those who remain dedicated. Thank you for staying with us!
